Questions still abound.
That’s the primary takeaway from Thursday’s media availability — the first of the 2024 preseason — with Austin FC head coach Josh Wolff and captain (we think but we’re not entirely sure, more on that in a bit) Sebastian Driussi.
Wolff noted there are still just 14 field players for Austin FC at present, and let drop regarding new fullback Guilherme Biro (who signed with the club earlier this month) that he “will probably get here, hopefully before the season starts.” That’s led to a cluster of anywhere from six to eight Austin FC II players involved in the preseason, depending on how you count “involved” and what part of the range that Wolff offered media you’d like to latch on to.
