The duo served as the Austin media corps’ lone representatives for today’s press conference, coming three days after the post-match press conference in which we saw a glimmer of playoff hope in a Vancouver lead that became a draw the moment it ended, leaving us in the limbo state we’re in now.
If Austin beats Portland on Wednesday and beats the Galaxy on Saturday, and Portland then loses to Dallas on Sunday, we’ll be heading into Decision Day with possibly even more ludicrous tiebreaker scenarios then we have now. If anything deviates from that single scenario, Verde will be officially (perhaps mercifully) eliminated from the playoffs.
