For the second time in its five-year history, Austin FC has qualified for the MLS playoffs.
Thanks to Vancouver Whitecaps FC's 4-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday, which featured two incredible strikes by former Austin FC player Sebastian Berhalter to seal the result, Verde can finish no worse than ninth in the Western Conference table. Despite two straight losses in league play — games in which Verde had the chance to win through their own actions — they'll make their first postseason since 2022, when they reached the Western Conference final as the No. 2 seed.
