Austin FC 2025 first-round playoff schedule announced
Get ready for matches starting a week from Wednesday. Also, Austin's guaranteed a Sunday evening home match for its postseason appearance.
Major League Soccer has announced its 2025 playoff schedule for the first-round best-of-three series, and Austin FC will open its postseason at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Oct. 29, at 9:42 pm CT, with the broadcast starting at 9:30 pm.
Austin FC is guaranteed a home playoff game, which will played at Q2 Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 7:55 pm CT, with the broadcast commencing at 7:30 pm.
Should the series go to a third-and-deciding game, that will be on Saturday, Nov. 8 in L.A., with the time to be determined.
If Austin advances to play in the conference semifinals, it could know its opponent as early as Nov. 1. Vancouver Whitecaps FC and FC Dallas start their No. 2 vs. No. 7 series on Sunday, Oct. 26, with additional games played Nov. 1 and, if necessary, Nov. 7.
If FCD upsets the Whitecaps, Austin FC would host the conference semifinals Nov. 22 or 23, following an interminable and ill-timed international break.
